Hello! My name is Carolyn and I'm one of the Product Managers here on CAM.
We've recently gotten reports of some major memory leaks happening inside of CAM. I've been communicating with a few users about this and we have a hypothesis of the source of this leak, but we need more information to confirm our suspicions.
If you're still experiencing a memory leak that you believe is related to CAM, please reply with your PC specs and any information pertaining to when your PC memory spikes. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread and following up for any further needed information.
Thank you for your help, and we hope to resolve this issue soon!

It seems the leak I'm witnessing may be related to open handles. After 22 days of uptime, I noticed that my NZXT Cam exe had 376,000 open handles. This is certainly abnormal.
2GB memory usage after several days of uptime, on Windows 11 (observed on both 23H2 and 24H2). But I never have the CAM window open, ever. I leave it running in the tray permanently so that it can manage my case lightning, which I have set to change based on CPU temperature.
14 GB RAM usage after 20 hours of idle PC!
13 GB RAM usage here after 10 hours. It's a huge problem.
Using NZXT Cam 4.59.0 and Windows 11 23H2 Cam uses 19% CPU-Usage on my Ryzen 7 5800X and 20,5GB of RAM. Usage icreases every second by 30-50MB.
Submitted my bug report through the CAM software, but my CAM hit 1GB again tonight. Windows 11, 4.30.2, Kraken Z53.
Definitely still leaking at this point. Using CAM version 4.30.2
